New "sanctions doctrine"
Pyongyang, April 27 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Foreign Ministry of the DPRK gave the following answer to a question raised by KCNA Wednesday as the U.S. has come out with
Officials of the U.S. administration including those of the Treasury Department have suggested so-called "sanctions doctrine" to ratchet up the sanctions and pressure on other countries.
Throughout history the U.S., regarding sanctions as a major means for pursuing its foreign policy for aggression, deliberately wielded a sanctions stick against those countries and people disobedient to it in defiance of international law, thereby inflicting untold pain and misfortune upon them.
The "sanctions doctrine" advocated by the U.S. is the evil "doctrine" that can be produced only in the U.S., the hotbed of high-handed and arbitrary practices, as it is a collection of mean methods for bringing into submission those countries and their people courting its displeasure.
The gap between the rich and the poor is widening and the social inequality and conflict are festering with each passing day and people suffer from unemployment and economic difficulty. Moreover, innocent people fall victim to shooting sprees for the mere reason that they hurt one's feelings. This is daily occurrence in the U.S.
It is ridiculous for the U.S. to invent the "sanctions doctrine" to impose pain on others, far from minding its own business.
It is foolhardy for the daily declining U.S. to resort to sanctions against other countries. What matters here is that the U.S. sanctions have become a root cause of unreasonable pressure, inequality, tensions and stand-off in the international relations.
Countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America hit by U.S. sanctions stick should destroy the cesspool of high-handed and arbitrary practices in unity in order to stop the bigger disaster that may be caused by the evil "doctrine". -0-
Pyongyang, April 26 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Foreign Ministry of the DPRK gave the following answer to a question raised by KCNA Tuesday in connection with the fact that the U.S. is ratcheting up the pressure on the DPRK while citing the DPRK's test-fire of submarine-launched ballistic missile:
The big success in test-fire of the SLBM brought about by the DPRK's scientists and technicians in the field of national defence marked a historical event as it provided another means of powerful nuclear attack of Juche Korea. It was the exercise of the just right to self-defence to safeguard the sovereignty and right to existence of the country and the nation from the U.S. escalating threat of nuclear war.
But the U.S. and its followers spew out sophism that the test-fire is a violation of "resolutions" of the UN Security Council and renders the situation in the region and the world unstable.
The U.S. even set in motion the UN Security Council to work out a statement which "denounced" the DPRK's ballistic missile activities, while terming them "an act of escalating regional and world tensions".
We have flatly denied all the "resolutions" of the UN Security Council that sided with the U.S. vicious moves against the DPRK and have firmly safeguarded the peace on the Korean peninsula and the region by dint of the military capabilities for self-defence with the nuclear force as a pivot.
The peace and security on the Korean peninsula are being wrecked by the U.S. which is keen on nuclear war moves targeting the DPRK with the mobilization of all nuclear strike means including strategic nuclear submarine.
Now that the U.S. is rendering the situation extremely tense while persisting in hostile policy and nuclear threats to the DPRK, the only way for the DPRK to avert thermo-nuclear war on the Korean peninsula and the region is to ensure balance of force by dint of powerful nuclear deterrence.
This being a hard fact, the U.S. is branding the measures taken by the DPRK to bolster nuclear force including the test-fire of SLBM as a threat to the peace and security in the region and the world. This is illogical and will only increase the danger of armed conflict and war on the Korean peninsula.
The U.S. continued pursuance of extreme hostile policy and nuclear threat and blackmail against the DPRK will only make the latter make drastic progress in bolstering nuclear attack capabilities.
We will bolster the nuclear force pursuant to the Workers' Party of Korea's strategic plan to counter the nuclear weapons in kind no matter what others may say. -0-
Rodong Sinmun Discloses Criminal Nature of U.S. "Sanctions" against DPRK
Pyongyang, April 26 (KCNA) -- Obama's gentries are staging a farce for "independent sanctions" against the DPRK with Japan and south Korean puppet forces in the wake of fabricating the UN "resolution on sanctions" No. 2270 against the DPRK. Not content with this, they added the "list of contraband goods" to the "items under sanctions" at the UN Security Council, describing it as a "shocking" and "fatal" measure.
Rodong Sinmun Tuesday in a commentator's article says that such action is the crudest violation of the DPRK's sovereignty, a product of the U.S. high-handed and arbitrary practices and a hideous criminal move to "bring down" the former's "social system".
The article goes on:
The U.S. is slapping such "sanctions" against the DPRK not because of its nukes and satellites but because it emerged a fortress of socialism in the east, convincing the world people of the inevitable doom of capitalism in practice, it is advancing proudly its own way, not bound to the international order set by the U.S. and its dollar domination and the DPRK is putting brake on the U.S. scenario to carry out the strategy to dominate the world from the steadfast independent stand of opposing the U.S.
All the "resolutions on sanctions" against the DPRK adopted at the UN are by no means an expression of the "general will" of its member states as they were invented by the U.S. and adopted by the world body through coercion of other countries.
It was quite natural that the DPRK branded such illegal "resolutions on sanctions" as crimes and categorically rejected them.
The U.S. and its followers' "sanctions" against the DPRK are only further hardening its army and people's revolutionary faith and capability for self-development and their iron will to counter the enemies' reactionary offensive with the revolutionary one.
The U.S. had better behave itself, properly understanding who its rival is. -0-
